The Jungle: Where Kids Discover God Through Adventure & Play!

Welcome to the Jungle! Our kids here at Family of God have an exciting environment in which to learn. From our nursery, to toddlers through the 5th grade there are exciting programs and fun learning environments for each age. All our kids are registered when they first arrive to any children’s ministry program or church service. Checking in is a simple process at any check-in kiosk. At the Kiosk area a name tag is issued and a parent identification card for retrieving your kids following the service or program.

Youth: Preparing the Next Generation for Faith-in-Action

Our youth group meets Wednesdays at 6PM meeting in our gym (rear entrance of the church).

We have a fun group activity, snack, and a bible-based message, followed by small group discussions. Our goal is to grow in our faith, and become more like Jesus. We believe that Jesus is the only way, the real truth, and the real life – and the only way to get to heaven.

OUR MISSION

Having in place a ministry that will help women grow in their knowledge of God’s Word, strengthen their relationship with Christ and provide opportunities for them to serve within the church and reach out to the community to share the love of Christ.

OUR VISION

To inspire and empower women, igniting their souls by bringing them together in Christ to Seek Him continually, to Serve Him faithfully, and to Share Him boldly.

OUR VERSE
“Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.” Romans 12:11-13

We had a wonderful turnout and a great time of fellowship at one of our recent women’s events. Our topic for the evening was “Don’t Flip-Flop in Your Faith”. To flip-flop means a sudden or unexpected reversal of direction or belief. We looked at the first chapter in James to see what the Bible says about flip-flopping in our faith!

Standing for our faith and trying not to flip-flop isn’t always easy.

We have to work at it.

So what can we do to P.A.S.S. the test and not flip-flop in our faith?

Prayer – develop a relationship with God and ask Him for wisdom and to reveal Truth about those matters in your life you are not clear on.

Accountability – pray for an accountability partner who is committed to hearing out what’s happening in your life to know if you need encouragement, direction, or prayer.

Scripture Reading – God’s Word is our measuring stick for any teaching, advice, or counsel we receive. If it doesn’t measure up to what God’s Word says……walk away from it!

Serving – Every Christian has been given at least one spiritual gift to use in service to the body of Christ.

Let’s make Psalm 51:10 our prayer —

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”

Steadfast spirit meaning an unwavering spirit; an immovable spirit; an unshakable spirit standing firm ……………….. NO flip-flopping!!

Iron Sharpens Iron: Building Godly Men Through Brotherhood & Purpose

The Men’s Ministry here at Family of God meet for breakfast on the first Saturday of each month at 8am. It is during this breakfast that we are inspired to greater ministry and fellowship. Throughout the year the Men’s Ministry provide any number of ministry opportunities through outreach to our community, fellowship opportunities, evangelistic outreaches and retreats. Deaf Ministry: A Place to Belong & Grow in Faith

Here at Family of God Community Church our worship services are interpreted both live and online. Our desire is to share the wonder of God’s word with those who are hearing impaired and deaf. We use American Sign Language to share the gospel each week.

Hidden Hands, Holy Work: Join Our Facilities Ministry Team

Everything from cleaning a room to changing a light bulb is ministry. Each week volunteers clean and repair our facility to ensure that we have a safe and clean environment to worship and learn. Sometimes we take for granted all the little things in the life of the church, like turning a faucet and getting water, or having paper supplies in the restrooms, but the reality is people make all that happen. Here at Family of God we view this care as ministry and consider it a privilege to serve the Lord through this simple, yet vital service.

If you are interested in using your gifts and talents, whether you are an electrician, carpenter or just enjoy fixing and cleaning things, this can be a rewarding ministry for you. Changing the World Through Missions

Jesus said we are to “go into all the world” as witnesses for Him. Here at Family of God we take this mandate seriously. We support missionaries all over the world. Some through a cooperative effort with mission organizations and others through direct support. In all our commitment to this great responsibility we join them in prayer and help with financial needs. Frequently we have opportunities for you to join in mission and outreach opportunities. Sometimes we go to other countries, but we also go into our own backyards. If you have a heart for people of other cultures and/or a heart for the lost, this is a ministry you will want to join in.
