OUR VISION
To inspire and empower women, igniting their souls by bringing them together in Christ to Seek Him continually, to Serve Him faithfully, and to Share Him boldly.
OUR VERSE
“Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.” Romans 12:11-13

We had a wonderful turnout and a great time of fellowship at one of our recent women’s events. Our topic for the evening was “Don’t Flip-Flop in Your Faith”. To flip-flop means a sudden or unexpected reversal of direction or belief. We looked at the first chapter in James to see what the Bible says about flip-flopping in our faith!
“If any of you lacks wisdom (understanding truth), you should ask God, and it will be given to you generously. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt (God), because the one who doubts (or the one who has divided loyalty) is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind (flip-flop…flip-flop). That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded (their loyalty is divided between God and the world) and they are unstable in all they do.” James 1:5-8
From this passage of scripture we learned the following truths:
1. God promises to give wisdom (understanding truth) to all who ask Him for it.
- God gives wisdom generously. It’s not based on anything we do or that we are worthy of it.
2. When we ask for wisdom we must believe and not doubt.
- If we waver in our faith – if we doubt the power of our God — then we are like a wave of the sea that is tossed by the wind. Flip-flop….Flip-flop!
3. A doubtful person—the one who treats God as only one of many options—should not expect to receive any
wisdom from God.
- A doubter is double-minded and cannot lean on God and His promises with confidence.
4. The double-minded person is unstable.
- Wavering in character and feelings; swaying one way and then another; flip-flopping!
5. The only stable life is the one in which a believer has decided to follow God’s wisdom—God’s Word, no matter
what!
Standing for our faith and trying not to flip-flop isn’t always easy.
We have to work at it.
So what can we do to P.A.S.S. the test and not flip-flop in our faith?
- Prayer – develop a relationship with God and ask Him for wisdom and to reveal Truth about those matters in your life you are not clear on.
- Accountability – pray for an accountability partner who is committed to hearing out what’s happening in your life to know if you need encouragement, direction, or prayer.
- Scripture Reading – God’s Word is our measuring stick for any teaching, advice, or counsel we receive. If it doesn’t measure up to what God’s Word says……walk away from it!
- Serving – Every Christian has been given at least one spiritual gift to use in service to the body of Christ.
Let’s make Psalm 51:10 our prayer —
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”
Steadfast spirit meaning an unwavering spirit; an immovable spirit; an unshakable spirit standing firm ……………….. NO flip-flopping!!
